Divided Views: Checkpoint is a game that explores a contemporary issue using approaches unique to the medium of games; it is about airport security, profiling, unintended consequences, and incompatible political viewpoints.
The game is further complicated by the existence of false positives and false negatives, playing on the human failure to intuitively understand statistics.
The players' engagement in the mechanics makes them complicit in the security theater, only to be confronted with the result of their actions at the end of the game.
