Mission

The mission of the UT Dallas Compliance Office is to partner with UT Dallas administration, staff, and faculty to develop and sustain a comprehensive compliance program that:

• Supports the University in fulfilling its mission to produce engaged graduates, advance excellent educational and research programs and directly benefit the surrounding communities
• Supports the University in achieving its financial, operational and strategic goals while maintaining compliance with associated laws, regulations, rules and policies
• Builds compliance and risk awareness into the daily activities of the University
• Encourages all employees to conduct university business with the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

Origins and purpose

In April 1998, the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System approved an Action Plan to Ensure Institutional Compliance. In accordance with the Action Plan, The University of Texas at Dallas has implemented the institutional compliance program. This program is intended to demonstrate the absolute commitment of the university to the highest standards of ethics and compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations.

The UT Dallas Compliance Program helps ensure that UT Dallas operates in compliance with all applicable laws, policies and regulations governing higher education institutions and conducts business in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Through training, support, and assurance, the Compliance Office provides an essential service to the University.
