Outstanding Employee Program - Nomination Instructions
Thank you for taking the time to read about The University of Texas at Dallas Business Affairs Outstanding Employee Award Program. The program has been established to recognize outstanding performance and special achievements of Business Affairs employees. Your participation in this program will help to show that employees are appreciated in the division of Business Affairs.
Business Affairs employees must have been in the Business Affairs division for 6 months to be eligible for a nomination. In addition, an employee may not receive the award more than once in any fiscal year. Direct reports to the Vice President for Business Affairs are not eligible for the Outstanding Employee Award.
Nominations are not judged according to the number of nominations received; rather, it is the quality of the information included in the nomination that is considered. As the name of the award indicates, the committee members have each been instructed to look for specific examples of special achievement or consistent outstanding performance that, according to each member's professional judgment, clearly demonstrates what is expected of a good employee. Nominations should be based on at least one of the following criteria:
- Specific examples of consistent outstanding job performance, or a special one-time achievement.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Overall positive working relationships with supervisor and peers.
- Dedication to work ethic above and beyond that required.
