This concert is dedicated to Lev Aronson, former Principal cellist of Dallas Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with the publication of a book by Frances Brent "The Lost Cellos of Lev Aronson". A great musician, outstanding cellist and pedagogue, his life was an example of courage and dedication to the meaning of life and music.

Programmed around the central theme of “Transfigured Night,” the concert showcases Arnold Schoenberg’s Verklarte Nacht (“Transfigured Night”), using the rarely-heard authorized transcription of the work by Edward Steuermann and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in C Major. Frequenters of the UT Dallas classical season, Clavier Trio presents an evening that celebrates the mystery and enchantment of the night. Violinist Arkady Fomin, cellist Jesus Castro-Balbi and pianist David Korevaar perform Schubert’s Notturno in E Flat Major, Schonberg's Verklarte Nacht (Transfigured Night) and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in C Minor.

Please Note: The UT Dallas campus is undergoing a significant amount of construction. Guests are advised to visit our campus map for updated route, construction, and parking information.
