Drummer Butch Miles leads an outstanding group of local musicians for an delightful evening of jazz music. He will be accompanied by Lynn Seaton on bass, Karl Lampman on sax, Tony Baker on trombone, Jack Evans on trumpet and Kelly Durbin on piano.

The San Diego Sun called Butch Miles “a marvel to watch and listen to, a man who does not so much beat a drum as kiss it lightly with the ends of his sticks.” He has performed with artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Woody Herman, Frank Sinatra, Dave Brubeck, Sammy Davis, Jr., Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Lena Horne, Tony Bennett, Clark Terry, Gerry Mulligan, Rosemary Clooney, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Zubin Mehta, Benny Goodman, Itzak Pearlman and Dick Hyman.  Miles has recorded over 100 albums and performed on four Grammy-winning albums.  He has made personal appearances on numerous radio and television shows internationally.  Miles has also appeared in three movies, including Woody Allen’s “Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
