Thirteen graduate students in Art and Technology, and Aesthetic Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas explore the representation of the human figure. Working in photography and video, these artists study their subject through a lens informed by social issues such as: everyday documentation of family life; the value that we place on physical labor; gender conventions that influence youth; our reliance upon pharmaceutical drugs; use of the camera to explore aspects of our identities; reflections on body image; and critique of stereotypes.
