Exhibition of Excellence in Undergraduate Research
Thursday, Mar 29, 2012
11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Clark Center Lobby

The Office of Undergraduate Education has partnered with the Office of Research to coordinate the first UT Dallas Exhibition of Excellence in Undergraduate Research event. This will be a large event that we hope to make an annual occurrence to recognize the hard work of undergraduate researchers.

Program:

11:00am - 12:00pm Undergraduate Researcher Student Panel - This will feature students who are actively engaged in research or have participated in special programs like the Clark Summer Research Program or Green Fellowship. The students will be prepared to answer questions from their peers about how to get involved in a lab or how to apply for a research program. This will be very helpful to students who would like to know how to get involved in undergraduate research.

12:00pm - 1:00pm Luncheon to celebrate the inaugural issue of The Exley, UT Dallas' Undergraduate Research Journal - Print copies of the journal will be provided to attendees.

1:00pm - 2:00pm Opportunity for students, representatives from local industry, faculty, staff, and other invited guests to network.

2:00pm - 4:30pm Undergraduate Research Poster Contest - Posters will be on display and participants will be prepared to describe their research and answer questions. Poster contest judges will be reviewing the posters during this time.

4:30pm Announcement of poster contest finalists.
