Maximum Overdrive takes its title from Stephen King's 1986 movie that is notable for its machismo, AC/DC soundtrack and for being the only movie King directed. The exhibition is concerned not with the film but with the exaggerated masculine pride and humor it evokes. It includes six recognized emerging and midcareer artists.
