Girls may not choose to go into engineering careers because they do not know what engineering is and what engineers do. Students from Irma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School will be visiting UT Dallas for a day of engineering fun led by student leaders in ECS and various student organizations as well as the Texas Instrument Women's Initiative.  

The success of the program depends on volunteers. Volunteers will:

• Serve as role models throughout the day and during lunch roundtable discussions
• Answer participants’ questions about engineering and UTD
• Welcome students when they arrive at UTD
• Escort students to group activities
• Lead activities
