The International Student Mini Conference is an opportunity for international students to learn more about specific topics.  Feel free to come to one or all of the consecutive sessions on Friday, January 11.  The schedule is in detail below:

1:00pm-2:00pm, Galaxy Rooms:

Preparing an Effective On-Campus Job Search: The Career Center and the ISSO invite all international students who are interested in knowing more about getting an on-campus job. The Career Center will give advice on how to write a resume, tips on interviewing, and how to apply for jobs via CareerWorks.

2:00pm-3:00pm, Galaxy Rooms:

Understanding US Health Insurance: Health insurance can be very confusing. This informative session will address many aspects of the American health insurance system including: why everyone needs health insurance, insurance terminology, how U.S. insurance works, and tips on choosing a health insurance plan. Learn about the American health insurance system, and ask questions of Student Health Insurance Staff.

3:00pm-4:15pm, Meet in SSB Lobby:

Campus Tour:  The Orientation Peers will lead students on a tour throughout campus, including some of the University’s traditions.

4:15pm-6:00pm, Meet at Berkner Bus Stop:

883 Comet Cruiser Tour: The Orientation Peers will take students on a tour of the entire 883 route, explaining the places of interest and discounts in the area.  We will also make a stop at Braum’s for a snack!
