The Center for BrainHealth presents the BrainHealth Frontiers lunch lecture series for Spring 2013. Dr. Kluganski, Professor of Psychology at the University of Maryland will be the guest speaker on April 10th at noon.
Dr. Kruglanski is a Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland. Throughout his career as a social psychologist, his interests have centered on how people form judgments, beliefs, impressions, attitudes and what consequences this has for their interpersonal relations, their interaction in groups and their feelings about various "out groups". In connection with these interests he has formulated a theory of lay epistemics (Kruglanski, 1989) that specified how thought and motivation interface in the formation of subjective knowledge.
The Center for BrainHealth invites scientists to share their scientific study with students and other researchers at the BrainHealth Frontiers Lunch Lectures.
The lectures are heavily science focused and are not intended for a lay audience. All lectures are held at the Center for BrainHealth, 2200 West Mockingbird Lane, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the International Reception Hall.
