Junior faculty, post-doctorates, and administrators will learn how to submit winning proposals to the NIH for their research. This workshop will also serve seasoned researchers as a refresher to the latest NIH requirements. The ultimate purpose of this workshop is to provide a competitive advantage for a successful NIH proposal.
- Reading and interpreting RFAs
- Finding the right program and grant mechanism for your idea
- Understanding the new NIH scoring system and review process
- Building an airtight case for funding
- Revising your proposal for resubmission
Instructor: Dr. Fatah Kashanchi - Research in his lab has been funded by Selective Excellence, Keck, Snyder, Sinsheimer, Cyclacel, and by more than 6 NIH grants for which he is the Principal Investigator. Dr. Kashanchi has obtained $9.4 M of independent funding since 1998.
