One of the first things a researcher should think about when considering applying for a research grant is... the budget. The Office of Sponsored Projects will outline important considerations and common pitfalls in the process of drafting a budget. We'll discuss how to determine if there are program specific expenses which are unallowable, and will walk participants through the process of obtaining institutional approvals. The Office of Post-award Management will focus on budgetary issues on a sponsored project cost center, such as cost transfers, over expenditures, and unallowable costs.
