September 17, Studio Movie Grill at Spring Valley, 7 p.m.

The Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies will sponsor the Dallas premier of the film Süskind. Dr. David Patterson, Hillel Feinberg Chair in Holocaust Studies, will lead a discussion following the screening. The film, set in 1942 in German-occupied Amsterdam, is based on the real-life story of Walter Süskind, who pursues a post with the Jewish Council. His new position involves the unimaginable task of having to decide which Jews are to be sent to the labor camps in Germany.   Jewish Community Center of Dallas
