The Office of Research offers the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) seminar series to engage the UT Dallas research community in contemporary issues in research ethics and scientific integrity. In this session, Dr. Walter Voit will join us to discuss his personal experiences on the topic of conflicts of interests and commitment in research. Dr. Voit, began his faculty career in 2010 as an assistant professor at The University of Texas at Dallas where he explores the thermomechanics of shape memory polymers. All RCR series sessions include interactive participation and discussion. Individual session formats may vary with topic presenter.
Registration is required and seating is limited. A lite lunch (pizza!) and refreshments will be served. You may access the schedule and register for the seminar series at the following link: https://www.utdallas.edu/research/re/classes
Participating in RCR training is required for those supported by NIH and some NSF grants, but all who are interested in professional development in research ethics are welcome and encouraged to participate in this series.
