3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Location: Visitor's Center Atrium (VCB)
The Match Day event is open to all students and is designed to facilitate the process of pairing motivated undergraduates with faculty who have research projects. Students who participate will gain valuable research experience that contributes to future success professionally, or in graduate school. Faculty who engage undergraduates in research enhance grant applications by demonstrating mentorship alongside receiving quality researchers. Hors d'oeuvres and light refreshments available during the event.
How to prepare for Match Day:
- Create or update your resume and bring multiple copies to the event.
- Prepare questions regarding what type of work the faculty member needs assistance with, the number of hours expected, and the work environment (for example, will you work in a lab where you will be expected to wear long sleeves and closed toe shoes?).
- Dress professionally and be prepared to articulate your qualifications
Hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Education, as part of the 6th Annual Exhibition of Excellence in Undergraduate Research.
