U.S. News and World Report issued its annual Best Graduate Schools edition recently, and UT Dallas was well represented. What’s more, the two highest-rated programs from UT Dallas are both based at Callier.
The UT Dallas audiology and speech-language pathology programs, which were surveyed in 2012 as part of the magazine’s biannual review, are in the nation’s top 20. The audiology program tied for third in 2012-2013, and the speech-language pathology master’s program tied for 11th.
The high ranking continues a long tradition of tying top-flight educational opportunities with expert clinical training and forward-looking research. At a time when jobs for new graduates are hard to find, Department of Labor statistics indicate communication therapists are among the most sought-after professionals.
Callier has been training the next generation of speech-language pathologists and audiologists for five decades now, and both students and patients continue to benefit greatly from the shared experience.
