When should I apply?
Application for enrollment may be submitted at any time.
Is my child eligible for enrollment?
Only families affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center or UT Dallas are eligible; affiliation must be maintained for continued enrollment.
Is there a fee for submitting an application?
There is no fee for submitting an application if you are willing to accept the first available offer. If you wish to defer offers, you may pay a holding fee of $100 to maintain your position as an inactive applicant until your preferred date of enrollment.
How long will my application be maintained?
Applicants who have not received an offer after 12 months will be contacted to confirm continuing interest and update information. If a response is not returned, the application is deactivated.
How long is the wait?
Enrollment in existing classes is offered throughout the year as openings become available through student withdrawal. Each April, enrollment is offered for new slots to begin attending the following August. Enrollment offers are made to applicants on the waiting list based on eligibility guidelines. First consideration is given to siblings of enrolled students.
What happens if I decline an offer of enrollment?
If you are unable to accept an offer, you may return to the waiting list by submitting a new application. If you wish to maintain your position on the waiting list based on your original date of application, a holding fee of $100 is required.
