CLAP: Cochlear Implant Language Advancement Program

CLAP:

• Is a group program for children ages 18 months to 3 years with cochlear implants.
• Supplements individual aural (re)habilitation and speech-language therapy.
• Focuses on increasing listening, language and speech skills without the use of visual communication.
• Includes a weekly parent training session.

Parental involvement is vital in the development of a child’s listening, language and speech skills. That’s why
CLAP includes a weekly parent training session.

Parent sessions take place one time per week.
