Summer Camps

Motor Concepts for Articulation (MoCA)

MoCA is a small group articulation therapy program for preschool and early school-age children with moderate to severe articulation and phonological disorders. MoCA is designed to teach children complex ideas about movement and their articulators (parts of their mouths) in fun and simple ways. The teaching philosophy relies on helping the child understand more about the production of target sounds, shaping and encouraging use of new motor patterns, and strengthening the underlying musculature as needed. MoCA is an intense articulation therapy program conducted by a licensed speech-language pathologist with the support of UT Dallas graduate students.

Evaluation Requirement: Children must have had a recent speech-language evaluation (within 6 months) or documenation from current therapy, which must be submitted prior to enrollment. To schedule an evaluation at the Callier Center, call our Dallas location at 214-905-3030 or our Richardson location at 972-883-3630.

Cost: $180 per session (may be insurance eligible) + $75 nonrefundable activity fee due prior to program start to secure enrollment.

Camp Talk A'Lot

Camp Talk A’Lot is a group language therapy program for children ages 3 to 5 years. The program uses fun thematic units, week by week, to provide opportunities to increase language skills, as well as practice social communication with peers. Campers will have individualized goals, which will be targeted within the context of exciting preschool activities such as arts and crafts, games, motor activities, drama, songs and more. The environment allows for facilitation of skills in a highly supportive, naturalistic environment, where the support and cues can fade over time as the child becomes more independent. Camp Talk A’Lot is conducted by a licensed speech-language pathologist with the support of UT Dallas graduate students.

Evaluation Requirement: Children must have had a recent speech-language evaluation (within 6 months) or documenation from current therapy, which must be submitted prior to enrollment. At the discretion of the program director, a Program Intake Assessment may be required prior to admission.
