For many patients with speech, language and hearing disorders, the journey of care requires ongoing therapeutic and rehabilitative services – sometimes over the patient’s entire lifespan. The cost of these services can be overwhelming, especially when families are faced with limited financial resources.
Thankfully for Callier, Ruth and Ken Altshuler, our longtime friends and Dallas community leaders, envisioned the ability to provide care to children and adults regardless of their income level, insurance coverage or socioeconomic background. Through the Altshuler’s benevolence, the Callier Care Fund was created so that patients in need could access essential care that would help them be able to hear, speak and connect with the world around them.
Our goal is to continue raising support for the Callier Care Fund to ensure that these resources are available for patients and families forever.
Give the gift of communication to patients in need:
- Your gift could help a toddler with cochlear implants hear his mother’s voice and learn to respond
- Your gift could help a little boy, struggling with autism, learn social communication skills and interactions such as greeting people, making eye contact and answering questions
- Your gift could give an adult with severe hearing loss the ability to stay connected with colleagues, friends and family
