When Realize the Vision: The Campaign for Tier One and Beyond concluded, UT Dallas completed an important chapter in its history.

In our first comprehensive campaign, we surpassed our $200 million goal, raising $273.3 million. That in itself is a fine achievement. But more importantly, our vision to become a nationally recognized research university has come into greater focus as we make progress toward that reality.

While the campaign's successes along with other achievements throughout the campus have helped us move toward our goal, we have not arrived yet. It will take a sustained investment by the University, its alumni and this community for UT Dallas to achieve international recognition as a major research university of the first rank.

To the University community and supporters: Thank you for committing to our vision. The evidence of your generosity is all around us as our enrollment, academic programs, student and faculty achievements, research support and the physical campus itself have all grown during the last five years.

We are indebted to our donors who collectively contributed more than $200 million and to the state of Texas and the UT System, which, together, provided nearly $70 million in matching funds during the campaign. That support boosted research, created scholarships, helped recruit top level faculty and expanded programs and centers.

As satisfying as it is to reach and surpass a fundraising goal, that is only a part of what this campaign has accomplished. We look forward to deepening these relationships as the University moves into the next chapter of its story, which I am sure will be even more exciting than the last.

In these pages, you will find reports on investments in the future of UT Dallas that have come from combining exceptional philanthropy with a dynamic vision — stories that each and every donor helped make possible. Thank you for helping UT Dallas become the University we all envision.
