International experiences are important for personal development and becoming more and more valuable to have on your resume in a global, competitive environment. Any student considering these opportunities should get started early!
Your Career Consultant can help you identify and evaluate resources and programs available for international internships. We can also help you to determine, along with your academic department, whether the internship abroad would be able to count for academic credit here at UT Dallas. (Review internship Eligibility and Process.)
Assistance regarding all other aspects of the international experience is available through the Office of International Education (OIE). All UT Dallas students who plan to complete an internship abroad need to satisfy the "Institutional Protocol" published by the OIE and meet the appropriate deadlines. THESE DEADLINES ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE AND PROTOCOL MUST BE COMPLETED 2-3 MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Please see the OIE website for protocol details and deadlines.
