Getting Started
The easiest way to get started with the UT Dallas internship program is to fill out the
Internship
Listing Form (requires Acrobat
Reader). Please fill out this form in its entirety and return to the Career Center.
This can be done via email or fax. An internship program staff member will follow up with you
regarding the details of your position and we will get the position posted in our
UTD CareerWorks system for qualified students to begin viewing.
If you have questions about how to get started with developing your actual internship position, please see the Quality Internship Assignments section of this website. You may also contact the Assistant Director of the Internship Program for further assistance.
We highly recommend that you begin recruiting to fill internship positions as early as possible, preferably one semester in advance. Students are encouraged to begin their internship searches also one semester in advance. Of course, we would be happy to post your internship positions at any time throughout the year. However, please note that when positions are posted after the semester has started and the start date is listed as ASAP, it is difficult to tell what kind of response you will get. Often students have already solidified plans for the semester.
At UT Dallas, the semesters are typically scheduled as follows:
- Fall semester - Mid August through first week of December
- Spring semester - Beginning of January through first week of May
- Summer semester - Mid May through first week of August
