Information Sessions
We encourage you to consider hosting an on-campus information session. This is a very effective way to market your organization to students.
Scheduling
Information sessions must be scheduled in advance. Depending on your purpose for the information session, these can be scheduled weeks in advance of or for the night before your scheduled on-campus interviews.
If you want to encourage students to apply to your open position(s), and be considered for the preselect process for an interview, it is best to schedule the information session at least a week in advance of the resume drop deadline (typically 2-3 weeks before your scheduled on-campus interviews).
If simply using the session to give information about your organization to the candidates you have already selected, the day/night before the interview is sufficient.
Arrangements
Contact the Recruiting Coordinator (972-883-6842) to schedule the event. You may choose to have refreshments catered by UT Dallas; the Career Center will invoice the costs to you.
The event will be promoted to the students as an "open" session, which is open to any and all interested students, or as a "closed" session open only to those with whom you have scheduled interviews.
Students will be able to submit their RSVP electronically to assist you in planning for your audience.
Cancellation of scheduled information sessions must be made at least three (3) business days prior to the event. You will be invoiced for any costs already incurred.
