Become a Career Mentor

Your participation in our UT Dallas Alumni Career Network can make a significant difference in the on-going career development and success of our students, whether you can give only an hour or so every now and then or many hours to many students over longer periods of time. These are the various ways you can be involved:

  • Speakers Bureau - We maintain a database of potential speakers for our career programs and the programs of our UT Dallas student organizations.
  • Informational Interviewing - Arrangements are made for students on a quest to explore various career fields, industries or options within a particular organization to interview you.
  • Job Shadowing - Arrangements are made for students, either as individuals or in a group, to spend a day shadowing you as you go about your work or simply to visit your facility for a tour and discussion about various career fields within your organization.
  • One-on-One Mentoring - You are matched with an individual student who is interested in pursuing a career similar to yours.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the UT Dallas Alumni Career Network, please contact the Director of the Career Center and provide him with your name and contact information, along with your areas of expertise and the ways in which you would like to be involved.
