Page 1: Overview
The terms "Internship", "Cooperative Education", and "Curricular Practical Training" (CPT) are all used interchangeably at UT Dallas and will be referred to as internships in the remainder of this document.
The Internship Program is a structured educational program combining classroom learning with productive work experience in a field related to a student's academic or career goals.
The student, employer, and university are all three partners in the internship experience.
