your... Junior Year

• Update resume; be sure to add new jobs, activities and awards, etc.
• Continue to attend seminars and view video tapes for new trends and techniques to improve job search skills.
• Participate in mock interviews in preparation for professional interviews.
• Utilize printed and online resources for job search and networking.
• Identify employers that offer opportunities for internships or summer jobs.
• Conduct informational interviews with professionals in careers of interest.
• Expand professional network resources with UT Dallas professors, advisors and staff.
• Attend UT Dallas Career Expos to explore companies, industries and career opportunities.
• Explore graduate school possibilities.
• Connect with career development programs, such as the Pre-Health and /or Pre-Law programs.
• Determine ability to pass a drug test, criminal background check or credit history report.
• Prepare a personal portfolio with examples of writings or projects.
• Review social networking sites and/or personal web pages for appropriate, professional content.
• Ensure voice mail greeting and email address are professional.
