Career Counseling and Assessment

Career development is a lifelong process and involves making many important decisions along the way. Career Counselors can assist you in your decision-making process no matter what stage you find yourself.

Career Counselors are interested in educating and empowering you to explore and research career options and to prepare for the options that best fit your interests, aptitudes, values, personalities and qualifications. Whether you are a freshman in the beginning stages of your career exploration, a sophomore or junior looking for the best way to gain experience while you are in college, or a graduating senior or graduate student getting ready for a proactive job search, our staff members are available by appointment to assist you. Contact the Career Center to schedule an appointment.

Career assessments and career guidance resources are sometimes used to help you know yourself better and to identify potential career paths. A few of the career assessments and guidance resources available through the UT Dallas Career Center include the following:

  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ©
  • Self-Directed Search ©
  • Strong Interest Inventory ©

These assessments are administered in the Career Center by professional career counselors.
