Organic and bio-inorganic chemistry of metal ions complexes relevant to medical applications including:
- The design and synthesis of bifunctional chelating agents for diagnostics and therapy;
- development of tissue-specific chelates for magnetic resonance imaging;
- structural relationships between metal-based pharmaceutical agents and receptor targets.
