Periodicals

Periodicals edits and distributes news about UT Dallas through print publications and newsletters, as well as through the University’s News Center and social media. The division also plays a role in ensuring urgent information is delivered to the University’s audiences as quickly as possible.

News Center

News Center is the University’s news service, which features articles about UT Dallas happenings and highlights for an audience that includes the University’s community of students, faculty, supporters, neighbors, families, alumni and staff members, as well as media outlets and the general public.

News Center stories are available on the University’s desktop and mobile homepages, the News Center homepage and distributed to subscribers through email five days per week during the school year and twice per week in the summer.

UT Dallas Magazine is a biannual publication that takes an in depth look at the University’s most important stories and events.

Annual Report

The Annual Report shows the University’s progress looking at measurable outcomes and anecdotal achievements. The report includes information on everything from fundraising, to enrollment to rankings as the University continues its quest to become a national research institution. Current and past issues are available in printable pdf and interactive online versions, as well as printed copies available upon request.

President’s Viewpoint

Viewpoint is a newsletter from the desk of Dr. Richard C. Benson, president of The University of Texas at Dallas.

President to Parent

President to Parent is a newsletter from the desk of Dr. Richard C. Benson, president of The University of Texas at Dallas, specifically for parents of students who subscribe to the emailed communication.

Issues

Issues in Science and Technology is the award-winning journal of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, Institute of Medicine, The University of Texas at Dallas and Arizona State University.

Social Media

Periodicals maintains the University’s official social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram, where it distributes photos, information and emergency messages. In addition, the staff consults with various departments about social media strategy, providing guidance and answering questions.

The division does not supervise all of the social media outlets presented by various University schools, departments and other groups that are operated by those entities. However, guidelines for those hosting social media sites are available.
