Psychiatric and Other Referrals
Psychiatric consultation is available to UTD students in counseling at our center. If it is determined that a student in therapy might benefit from psychotropic medication, a referral may be made. Only students in counseling at UTD are referred for psychiatric treatment at the Center.
The UTD Counseling Center has residents on-site from UT-Southwestern Medical School available for psychiatric consultation. Students are responsible for the cost of their medications.
Referrals for psychiatrists in the community are available.
