Educational Programs and Workshops
The Counseling Center provides educational programs on a variety of topics for the UTD community. During the Fall and Spring semesters, the Successful Student Workshops series is offered. These hour-long workshops are designed to teach skills to enhance the college student experience both personally and academically. All workshops are held in the Student Union. Reservations are not required, but attendance is limited to the first 25 participants. There is no charge to attend. Visit the Workshops webpage for a schedule of this semester’s Successful Student Workshop series.
In addition, students, staff and faculty may request a specialized program for a student group or campus organization. Faculty may also request classroom presentations. These programs may be scheduled to take place at your regular meeting time and location based upon Counseling Center staff availability. Requests for presentations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance to allow ample time for preparation.
In order to schedule an educational program, please complete the PRESENTATION REQUEST FORM and return it to the Counseling Center via fax (972-883-6413) or in person (SU 1.608). A staff person will contact you within 2 business days about your request.
