Faculty and Staff DART Transit Passes
The University of Texas at Dallas provides faculty and staff with affordable access to public transportation to help reduce the number of vehicles on campus and to alleviate parking demand. Employees may purchase annual DART Transit Passes at University-subsidized rates at the Parking and Transportation Services window in the Bursar's office.
2012 Transit Passes
The full cost for an individual to purchase a DART Local Transit Pass is $650 per year. The discounted pass DART is offering through UT Dallas to employees is $312. For this year, UT Dallas is subsidizing local Transit Pass pricing so that your annual cost will be $120.
The subsidized Transit Pass rate is greater than half off DART's individual rate. Comet Cruiser/DART Route 883 buses will continue to be free to all riders.
To purchase your pass, visit the DART Transit Pass window at the Bursar's office (SSB2.300). Bring your completed application form, valid Comet Card and full payment in cash, check, credit or debit card. Your pass will be printed and given to you at the Bursar's window.
If the $120 payment poses a challenge for you, you may choose to pay $40 initially, with the remaining $80 due by March 15, 2012.
2011 Transit Passes
Your 2011 pass is valid until the end of the calendar year December 31, 2011. Do not use your 2011 pass after December 31st. DART police will issue citations to riders bearing expired passes.
