Am I eligible for a DART Transit Pass?

  • All current faculty, staff, and enrolled students of the University of Texas at Dallas are eligible.

How do I obtain a Transit Pass?

  • Once you have received your UT-Dallas Comet Card, fill out the on-line application. Your pass will be ready for pick-up at the Comet Center typically within about one week. You must have a Comet Card to apply for the Transit Pass and you must show your Comet Card for identification when you pick up your Pass.

How do I know when to pick up my Transit Pass?

  • After you receive the e-mail message confirming that your application has been received, you will need to wait about 5 - 7 business days before stopping by the Comet Center. During non-peak periods, such as mid-semester, your Pass may be available much sooner. Please do not call the Comet Center inquiring about your Pass.

What services are available with the Transit Pass?

  • The Transit Pass allows you to use all bus, light rail, and commuter rail services provided by DART, the Trinity Railway Express (TRE), and the Fort Worth "T".

I am retired from UT-Dallas, am I eligible for a Transit Pass?

  • No. The UT-Dallas Transit Pass Program operates under a contractual agreement with DART the terms of which are based upon current campus population.

I am affiliated with UT-Southwestern, am I eligible for a UT-Dallas Transit Pass?

  • No. The UT-Dallas Transit Pass Program operates under a contractual agreement with DART the terms of which are based upon the UT-Dallas campus population.

How do I get from here to there?

  • Use DART's Trip Planner to build your travel plans. All DART and TRE service schedules are available at www.dart.org. Route and schedule information for Fort Worth's transit system can be found at www.the-t.com.

Can I use the UT-Dallas bus to reach DART?

  • Yes, the UT-Dallas bus service, Route 883, runs directly from the campus to DART's Bush Turnpike Station where you can connect with the Red Line. Route and schedule information for Route 883 is available at www.utdallas.edu/transportation.
