Who qualifies for a free DART Transit Pass issued through UT Dallas?
Students who are enrolled in the current running term and also hold a valid UT Dallas comet card.
How do I obtain a Transit Pass?
Students may fill out the online form to apply for a pass. Your pass will be ready for pick-up at the Comet Center typically in 5-10 business days. You must have a Comet Card to apply for the Transit Pass and you must show your Comet Card for identification when you pick up your pass.
How do I know when to pick up my Transit Pass?
Students will receive notice to their UT Dallas email account when their pass is ready for pick-up.
What services are available with the Transit Pass?
Student Transit Passes allow use of all bus, light rail, and commuter rail services provided by DART and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) Zone 1.
I am affiliated with UT Southwestern. Am I eligible for a UT Dallas Transit Pass?
No. The UT Dallas Transit Pass Program operates under a contractual agreement with DART, the terms of which are based upon the UT Dallas campus population.
How do I learn how to travel on the DART system?
Use DART's Trip Planner to build your travel plans. All DART and TRE service schedules are available at www.dart.org.
Can I use the UT Dallas Comet Cruiser bus to reach DART?
Yes, the UT Dallas bus service, Route 883's Comet Cruiser, runs directly from the campus to DART's Bush Turnpike Station where you can connect with the Red Line. Route and schedule information for Route 883 is available at Comet Cruiser Schedule.
Do I need a DART Transit Pass to ride the Route 883 Comet Cruiser bus?
No, a DART Transit Pass is not required to ride the Route 883 Comet Cruiser. Anyone can ride the Comet Cruiser without charge.
How long is the DART Transit Pass valid?
The annual DART Transit Pass is valid for the full calendar year, January 1 through December 31.
How do I apply for replacement and does it cost anything to get it?
Students may fill out the online form to apply for a replacement pass. First replacement is free. More than one replacement will have a replacement fee.
