Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in the current running term and must also hold a valid UT Dallas comet card. Transit Passes are issued at the discretion of the University.
Ownership and Responsibility: Transit Passes issued by UT Dallas are the property of the University. Passes must be surrendered on demand of authorized University staff in the event of misuse, including use by any individual other than the registered pass holder. Passes may be electronically disabled by authorized representatives of DART. The Transit Pass and its use are governed by all applicable UT Dallas rules and regulations.
Application and Issuance: The Transit Pass is provided by UT Dallas at no cost to students and is issued by Parking and Transportation Services. Students must apply for the pass using the online application. Applicants must hold a valid Comet Card before applying. Passes are individually issued with the holder's photograph and name printed on the card. Passes may be picked up at the Comet Center, typically within 5-10 business days of application processing. Proper identification must be presented at the Comet Center. Faculty and staff are able to purchase a 2013 Transit Pass at the Bursar's office (SSB2.300).
Duration: The DART Transit Pass is issued annually and is valid for the calendar year.
Missing and Lost Passes: Lost or missing passes may be reported and reordered using the online application. Cards recovered by DART will be electronically disabled. Cards found on campus may be surrendered to the Police department in person or by campus mail.
