Welcome
For Students, Parents and Family Members
The Office of the Dean of Students is here to help you take full advantage of the countless resources available to you at UT Dallas.
Whether you are a new or continuing student, this is the place to find the many campus services available to you. Visit our Student Life web site for the array of student services and support programs designed to enhance your university experience.
The Parent and Family Association web site is a great place to learn about the variety of opportunities offered at UT Dallas. Also listed are resources about issues your student may be facing and Comet Connections, a newsletter for parents and family members.
For Faculty and Staff
As a member of the UTD community you may be the first one to notice a student exhibiting distress or disruptive behavior. The student does not need to be violating any University rules or regulations for you to be concerned. Please contact us and we can begin a dialogue with the student and provide referrals.
Allegations of student code of conduct violations should be referred to the Dean of Students.
The Behavior Assessment and Intervention Team reviews behavioral incidents and ensures a systematic response to students whose behavior may be disruptive or harmful to themselves or the UT Dallas community and to assist in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of students and other members of the UT Dallas community.
Under the purview of the Dean of Students the Judicial Affairs Officer investigates allegations of scholastic dishonesty. Please visit the faculty web site for referral information and other tools to help in managing academic integrity in the classroom. Contact Judicial Affairs at 972-883-6333 or judicialaffairs@utdallas.edu.
