The UT Dallas Debate Society

Interested in learning more about argumentation and current events while having an impact on your campus and community? Want to research important political and social issues then then put those ideas to the test? The UT Dallas Debate Society is committed to raising the level of discourse on campus by hosting public debates that that seek to start or improve the public conversation over topics important to the UT Dallas community.

The Debate Club is affiliated with but distinct from the nationally competitive UT Dallas Debate team. The club is a forum open for any interested and motivated students and faculty to work together to bring a culture of debate and deliberation to the UT Dallas campus and community.

Meetings and Officers

The UT Dallas Debate Club will begin meeting in the Fall, but is always looking for new and enthusiastic members. Interested in getting involved? Email the UTD Debate Society President, Mayu Takeda, for more information about meeting topics and debate planning. Meetings are Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in FO 1.510.
