Spring 2008 Deadlines for Proposals, Defenses, and Final Submissions

15  January
Applications for Graduation due in the Office of Records and Admissions

30 January
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 13 February)  (This is the last date for proposals from students expecting to graduate in the Spring term.)

27 February
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 12 March)  (Students submitting proposals on this date will graduate in summer or later terms.)

3   March
Last day for submission of final draft of dissertations to all members of the supervising committee.  Doctoral students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.

24 March
Last day for submission of final draft of portfolios, theses or casebooks to all members of the supervising committee.  Master’s students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.

24 March                                   
Last day for requests for oral defense of dissertations

2   April
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office   (for GSC consideration on 16 April)  (Students submitting proposals on this date will graduate in summer or later terms.)

10 April                                   
Last day for defense of portfolios, theses, casebooks, and dissertations

21 April                                   
Last day for final submissions of dissertations  (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)

28 April                                   
Last day for final submissions of portfolios or casebooks (to the A & H office) and theses (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)

9, 10 May                       
Spring Commencement

Summer 2008 Deadlines for Proposals, Defenses, and Final Submissions

9 April                       
Applications for Graduation due if participating in the spring 2008 ceremony (Commencement Ceremony Participation Intent form must be submitted)
5 June 
Applications for Graduation due in the Registrar’s Office (late applications will not be accepted after August 4, 2008)

14 May
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 28 May). (This is the only submission date for students wishing to graduate in the Summer 2008 semester.)
                                    (N.B.:  All proposals should be submitted to your individual committee
                                    Members for their approval at least one week before the submission
                                    Deadline, i.e. by 7 May.)

6 June
Last day for submission of final draft of dissertations to all members of the supervising committee.  Doctoral students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.

13 June 
Last day for submission of final draft of portfolios, theses or casebooks to all members of the supervising committee.  Master’s students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.

27 June
Last day for requests for oral defense of dissertations

11 July
Last day for defense of portfolios, theses, casebooks, and dissertations

18 July
Last day for final submissions of dissertations  (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)

25 July
Last day for final submissions of portfolios or casebooks  (to the A & H Office) and thesis copies (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)
