FALL 2008 Deadlines for Proposals, Defenses, and Final Submissions

N.B.:  All proposals should be submitted to your individual committee members for their approval at least one week before the submission deadline.   Otherwise, you can not expect faculty members to read and approve drafts in time to meet deadlines.

29 August  
Applications for Graduation due in the Office of Records and Admissions
3 September  
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 17 September)  (This is the last date for proposals from students expecting to graduate in the Fall term.)
1 October  
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 15 October)  (Students submitting proposals on this date will graduate in spring or later terms.)
17 October  
Last day for submission of final draft of dissertations to all members of the supervising committee.  Doctoral students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.
24 October  
Last day for submission of final draft of portfolios, theses or casebooks to all members of the supervising committee.  Master’s students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.
5 November  
Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 19 November)  (Students submitting proposals on this date will graduate in spring or later terms.)
7 November  
Last day for requests for oral defense of dissertations
21 November  
Last day for defense of portfolios, theses, casebooks, and dissertations
1 December  
Last day for final submissions of dissertations  (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)
5 December  
Last day for final submissions of portfolios or casebooks (to the A & H office) and theses (to the Office of the Graduate Dean)
19, 20 December
