This handbook is designed for our most valued resource: the employers of our students in the Industrial Practice Programs (IPP or IP Programs). Participating employers may utilize this handbook as a reference guide. Employers interested in starting a new Co-op/Intern program may utilize the handbook as a guide to assist them in designing and implementing IP Programs in their organization.
The goals of the IP Programs are: to provide participating employers access to highly qualified student workers for both immediate assistance and to build a resource of potential permanent employees; to provide students with valuable career related work experiences; and to heighten the cooperation between industry and academe.
The Industrial Practice Programs in the Jonsson School include Cooperative Education, Internships, and Curricular Practical Training.
