STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE
Corporate fringe benefits are not required of employers participating in the IP Programs. Participating students, on an IPP assignment, may be able to retain health insurance coverage through their parents’ or their own health insurance policy. Students may wish to review this question with their parents. All UTD students, either full or part time, can be covered by the University’s student health insurance policy. Students may purchase the policy annually or on a semester basis. The policy, while premiums are being paid, remains in effect from the day of initial registration until the end of the month of graduation, withdrawal, or dismissal from the university. STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO MAINTAIN SOME TYPE OF HEALTH INSURANCE WHILE ON AN IPP ASSIGNMENT.
