LOCATION
Located 17 miles north of downtown Dallas, the Jonsson School combines a suburban setting with access to the many amenities offered by the nation’s fourth-largest metropolitan area.
HIGH-TECH HAVEN
With hundreds of high-tech companies just a short drive from UT Dallas, the Jonsson School is in the heart of one of the nation’s major technology regions. Texas Instruments and EDS are both based here, and companies with a presence in the Dallas area include Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco Systems, Ericsson, General Dynamics, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Nokia, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, Tektronix and Verizon Wireless.
ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Area museums include the Dallas Museum of Art, the acclaimed Nasher Sculpture Center, the Amon Carter Museum, the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Entertainment includes theater, the Dallas Opera, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and various annual festivals. There’s also a wide array of sports and outdoor activities for both spectators (professional football, baseball, basketball, ice hockey and rodeo) and participants (bicycling, boating, fishing and camping).
