TA/RA Orientation Dates - FALL 2014

  • Thursday, August 21, 2014 - HH 2.402 - Newly appointed TA’s and RA’s and those who have not yet attended DAY 1 of the two day program are required to attend.
  • Friday, August 22, 2014 - HH 2.402 (9 am to 12:30 am, lunch, afternoon 1:30pm to 3:30pm in school) - Newly appointed TA’s and previously appointed TA’s who have not yet attended DAY 2 of the two day orientation program are required to attend.

Dates and Deadlines - May NOT conduct Final Oral Exam when the University is closed. All deadlines are at Noon.

    Last day to request a final oral exam.

Teaching and Research Assistant Orientation Program: HR and Employment Issues

FALL 2014- ALL NEW TA's & RA's

August 21, 2014 - TA's and RA's in Hoblitzelle Hall HH2.402 from 9:00am-12:30pm

and August 22, 2014 - TA's from 9:00am-1:00pm in Hoblitzelle Hall HH2.402(lunch will be provided)

1:30pm-3:30pm will be with your School

 

All new TA´s attend both days and new RA´s only attend the first day.

 

As TA’s and RA’s, you will assume new responsibilities as employees and as valuable additions to the instruction and research agendas of the institution. Your expanded roles require acquaintance with the rules of the academy regarding compliance issues and your relationship and interaction with students when acting as an assistant instructor and researcher.

Please note that TEACHING ASSISTANTS must complete all of the August 22 orientation program to be eligible for continued appointment as a teaching assistant. Attendance will be monitored throughout the August 22 program.
