Probation

Scholarship recipients are allowed two probationary periods for failing to meet the requirements of their scholarship.  The third violation will result in termination.  Students who are placed on probation must sign and submit a probation contract along with a completed Advising Meeting form to the AES Office.  A minimum of four meetings with an advisor is required.  Failure to meet any of the above will result in an additional probation or termination.

Termination

If a student has two probations and fails to meet the requirements of his or her scholarship a third time, termination will occur.

Additionally, there are two instances in which students may be terminated from their scholarship within one academic year:  Failure to meet the GPA requirement in the fall and spring semesters and failing to earn 30 hours; failure to meet the GPA requirement in the fall and spring semesters and not fulfilling the probation terms.

A scholarship recipient who withdraws from the university or does not enroll for a semester regardless of the reason will be terminated from his or her  scholarship if they fail to notify the AES Office.
