All freshman applicants are required to write an essay as a part of the application for admission Your essay should be typed, and be no longer than one page (250 words) Please put your name and social security number at the top of your essay.
Topic
What additional personal information do you wish to be considered in our decision? For example:
- exceptional hardship, temporary failure or personal experience that has shaped your abilities or academic credentials;
- personal responsibilities;
- exceptional achievements or special talents such as poetry, artwork, bilingual proficiency, etc.;
- educational goals and choice of major;
- ways you have associated with the university.
Enclose documentation and persons to contact for verification if appropriate.
