Sample Final Paper
The following is a sample of the RHET 1101 Final Paper assignment,
taken from the Fall 2000 semester.
Your goal is to reflect on your first semester of college and then translate that in the form of your final paper. Your paper should be 5-7 pages in length. It must be typed and double-spaced. Make sure you check for punctuation and spelling in you paper, You are to title your paper, My Freshman Experience at UT-Dallas.
Be sure to include the following:
- Expectations prior to coming to college
- What has college really been like?
- Problems encountered
- Obstacles overcame
- Challenges you are still facing
- Successes and accomplishments
- Relationships formed
- How has your family changed since you've been at school?
- How have you grown or changed?
- What changes will you make for next semester and beyond?
- What advice would you give an incoming freshman?
- Who is your academic advisor? Where is he/she located? How has he/she helped?
