The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

Amount of Award:

$20,000 paid in two installments and a tuition grant of one-half the tuition cost of a U.S. graduate program (up to a maximum of $16,000 per academic year)

Resident alien or;
Naturalized U.S. citizen or;
Is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.
Must have either a bachelor's degree or be in his/her final year of undergraduate study
Cannot be older than 30 years of age as of application date

Two essays on specified topics
One to two page resume
Three recommendation letters (one from a faculty member and one who is familiar with work performance either paid or volunteer)
Institutional Status Form from the current institution
Official transcripts
Submit documentary evidence proving the New American status
Submit appropriate test score (i.e. GRE, LSAT, etc.) required by programs to which the applicant has applied
