The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans
Amount of Award:
- $20,000 paid in two installments and a tuition grant of one-half the tuition cost of a U.S. graduate program (up to a maximum of $16,000 per academic year)
Number of Awards:
- Thirty per year
Length of Award:
- Two years
Conditions of Eligiblity:
- Resident alien or;
- Naturalized U.S. citizen or;
- Is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.
- Must have either a bachelor's degree or be in his/her final year of undergraduate study
- Cannot be older than 30 years of age as of application date
Application Materials:
- Completed on-line application form
- Two essays on specified topics
- One to two page resume
- Three recommendation letters (one from a faculty member and one who is familiar with work performance either paid or volunteer)
- Institutional Status Form from the current institution
- Official transcripts
- Submit documentary evidence proving the New American status
- Submit appropriate test score (i.e. GRE, LSAT, etc.) required by programs to which the applicant has applied
