Jessica Shepard Watts MPA’10 is the director of corporate relations at UT Dallas. She joined the Office of Development and Alumni Relations after six years at the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
During her time at United Way, Watts managed some of the largest corporate giving campaigns in Dallas and engaged donors through individual meetings and events. She also served as director of the organization’s Women of Tocqueville group, for which she stewarded donors and recruited executive women to give at the level of $10,000 or more.
Watts earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UT Arlington and interned on Capitol Hill as a Bill Archer Fellow. She graduated with a master’s degree in public affairs from UT Dallas and is proud to serve her alma mater. Watts is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, a member of United Way’s Leadership Society and a volunteer with several local nonprofits.
At UT Dallas, Watts focuses on engaging new companies and building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with corporations. Corporations generously give more than 50 percent of the philanthropic gifts made to the University.
