What Makes a Good University Great?

Today's great national research universities boast top-notch faculty, attract the best and brightest students and drive innovation, research and economic benefit to their region.

UT Dallas has always had a strong tradition of student achievement and world-class faculty. Over the past decade, the campus has been transformed with new buildings, extensive renovations and landscape enhancements. But only recently has the University started to garner the critical support necessary to move toward our vision of becoming a Tier One research university.

Private support is on the rise. Over the last 10 years, UT Dallas has received more than $200 million in gifts and pledges. That's more than the combined total from 1969 to 1999, the first three decades of our existence. We can achieve our ambitious goals, but only with the help of alumni and friends.
